In Smart Communities 2.0 - How to be smart in the countryside?  project, a number of programmes has been organised in the Slovak-Hungarian border region, including Nógrád County, Banska Bystrica and Kosice regions, to promote the use of information and communication technologies by both local residents and municipal staff. As a result of the project, products (Good Practices Manual, Guide for Local Communities and Smart Database) and services will be offered to help villages to become "smart", providing a kind of guidance for development.
