Technical University of Kosice is organising the Local Development Hackathon within the project SMART Communities 2.0 in Rankovce on 8th June 2021. It´s a one-day event organised for young students to foster their “smartness” using ICT.

30 min Introduction and welcome
30 min Description of the outdoor activities, creating teams
90 min Outdoor activities
60 min Lunch break
10 min Description of the indoor activity, assigning the mentor
60 min Creation of a simple project to given topic connected to Local Development
40 min Presentation of the projects by each individual team
40 min Discussion – pros and cons of the suggested solutions to local development problem
20 min Evaluation
10 min Awarding of prizes and closing
Students will be challenged to solve small tasks in line with the SMART project scope. The activities are designed in a way to help students deepen their knowledge about the environment they live in and at the same time they are practicing the use of ICT and learn how to use new tools (PowerPoint, Google Forms, Google maps).
